GreenRah at Web Summit 2026 in Lisbon
Founder of GreenRah
GreenRah will be in the startup programme at Web Summit 2026 this November. We have a booth. If you want to hear what we are building, come by during the event.
The conference itself runs 9 to 12 November at Lisbon's MEO Arena (Altice Arena) and the FIL halls next to it. We will be on the floor 10 to 12 November as an ALPHA startup, listed under mobility, transportation, and logistics. Web Summit also tags us as an impact startup, which matches the work: Heat Smart walks for shade, Accessible walks for gentler slopes and fewer stairs.
Where we will be
You can already find our company page here: GreenRah at Web Summit. The exact booth number is not public yet. When we have it, we will post it on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
If you already have a Web Summit pass, or you live in Lisbon and you are going, come talk to us. If you are not attending, the same updates will be on those accounts.
What Web Summit is
Web Summit is one of the biggest tech gatherings in the world. It started in Dublin in 2009 with a few hundred people. In 2016 it moved to Lisbon because it had outgrown Ireland. Recent editions have drawn about 70,000 attendees: founders, investors, journalists, and people from large companies. A few thousand startups exhibit each year through ALPHA, BETA, and GROWTH. ALPHA is the early-stage track. That is us.
The halls mix talks, meetings, and rows of booths. You will see climate tools, health products, fintech, and a lot of mobility ideas. We will be in that last group, with a pedestrian map rather than another car app.
Why GreenRah is there
We are a new company, registered in Estonia, and the web app is live. Heat in European cities is not a side topic for us. People still get routed down the sunniest street because most maps were built for cars. GreenRah plans walks that stay in shade when the sun is harsh, and gentler paths when stairs and steep grades are a problem. That is why we sit in impact as well as mobility.
If you want the longer origin story, I wrote it when we launched GreenRah.
What we will show
Heat Smart looks at building height, where the sun is, weather, and the walking network, including parks and pedestrian streets. The result is labelled the coolest way for the hour you pick. On a cloudy day it does not hunt shade the same way it does under a clear sky.
Accessible uses slope data we collected for the cities we cover. It prefers lower gradient and avoids known stairs between the same origin and destination. It is not a medical certificate, and it cannot see a temporary barrier, but it is built for strollers, wheels, and tired knees.
The app is free. Coverage for those two modes is the EU and Great Britain, plus Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. Android and iPhone apps are due later this year. At the booth we can walk through a live plan on the map rather than a slide.
